Hi, I’m Tasha, here’s what you need to know about me…

I opened my first salon at just 19 years old. From a young age, I knew I wanted to make a difference — and the salon world became my way to do that. Like many of us, I started out in a salon fresh out of beauty school, where I was underpaid and overworked. I searched for a space where I could earn a living, spend time with my family, and still enjoy racing cars on the weekends. This was before booth rent salons were popular, and after looking around, I realized I would have to build it from scratch.

After 10 years of working full time behind the chair and part time as an owner, I knew it was time for change. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, but one thing about me — I am brave. In 2022, my husband quit his job, and I stepped fully into being a full-time salon owner, determined to give my artists and my family my all.

​

I knew from the start I wanted booth rent artists all the way. I was never interested in keeping a portion of their salary — we work too hard for that. I wanted to work alongside driven, creative professionals who deserved both freedom and fair pay.

Now, my husband and I are proud to be full-time salon owners, real estate investors, and NOW THE LAUNCH OF OUR NEW HAIR COMPANY - Proper Hair Vault.

 

Being surrounded by like-minded people every day, keeping our salon beautiful, updated, and inspiring is one of my favorite parts of the job. At Proper, your growth will never be limited by your space — and we take pride in that.
